The Almaty Museum of Arts (ALMA), in collaboration with the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, MuseumsQuartier Wien (MQ) and the Weltmuseum Wien, is pleased to announce a research residency for one artist from Kazakhstan at the MuseumsQuartier Wien.

This month, in our Januyalyq Jeksenbі (Kaz. Family Sunday) all-ages workshop, we will follow in Almagul Menlibayeva’s footsteps and create our own magical grattage paintings: first applying layers of color and then scratching our intricate designs into the surface.
